This project began from a simple impulse, to hold onto the fleeting intimacy of the everyday. Lawler began photographing his daily life in 2019. Casual encounters with friends, familiar places, the overlooked details of routine. Over time however these images became more than documentation. They became a way for Lawler to explore the emotional tether to his hometown. The mundane is rendered sublime and the familiar is imbued with a new sense of significance
Constantly changing and ever confusing. A homage to Muine Bheag, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow.
